One of the most interesting things to me about CES is the number of technologist who do not attend because they are not in the the “consumer electronics” business. CES is a place to learn – not necessarily to sell. It’s about convergence; industry cross-over; new end-user expectations, key discriminators, and globalization. CES is a great leveler — where disruptive sparks from a 5-person startup can ignite an industry, while the Microsoft booth is just meters away!
